Lesson 33

YEAR END REVIEW

Sharpen the saw or quadrant 2

Watch the sunset tonight or get up early and watch the sunrise.

Seek first to understand then to be understood

People-watch at your local mall or store and observe what their body language is saying.

Synergize

Brainstorm with your friends and come up with something fun, new, and different to do this weekend, instead of doing the same old thing again and again.

Think win-win

The next time someone close to you succeeds, be genuinely happy for him or her instead of feeling threatened.

Emotional bank account or EBA

Before heading to bed, write a simple apology note to someone you may have offended recently.

Begin with the end in mind

Decide to start using your planner to get your time better planned.

Put first things first

Identify and write down your goals so that you can work towards them.

Be proactive

Push the pause button before you react to someone who accidentally bumps you in the hall, causing all of your books for the next class to fly in all directions.

Lesson 31

Four Areas of Renewal:

Body: Exercise

Heart: Relationships

Brain: Knowledge

Soul: Rest/Relaxation

Lesson 30

Ah this is a good story, and it relates to life in many ways. This was a very common thing with me when I was in elementary school. I used to toil endlessly with my tasks until I get REALLY REALLY tired. I start taking LONG times doing my tasks, and get quite frustrated and stressed out. Sometimes I start REALLY spazzing. "Abusing" my work sometimes. I could have really sharpened my saw so I wouldn't be so frustrated...Self Renewal in Need!

Lesson 29

Lesson 23: Clear Communication

People-Watch

Non-verbal communication is VERY important. Everyone is shrugging and frowning, or smiling and laughing, it really shows their emotion. Sarcasm is also widely expressed in non-verbal communication, like rolling eyes and such. It shows a lot in a person's attitude.

Lesson 15: The Matrix

Spent Time:

I have spent most of my time as the not important, not urgent section. Slacking is my life...here's why:

1. Procrastinater: important, urgent. I spent some of my time in this category, but not as much as I do slacking. I sometimes have to hurry a lot to finish all my work, but only a few time sleep really late.

2. Yes-man: not important, urgent. Sometimes I just spend my time doing stuff that I don't really have to finish really soon. Yeah.

3. Slacker: not important, not urgent. Whoa do I spend a lotta time in this quadrant! Like seriously. I often just, while doing homework, turn on the radio and pull out a deck of cards and just start playing. Lots of time lost...I love hurrying! Maybe I need some more time for fun...haha LOL

4. Prioritizer: important, not urgent. I really gotta spent more time in this quadrant! So hard to! How am I supposed to know what is the most important and what not? I have extra-curricular stuff everyday!..

Well usually all my time is spent on activities and, well, work. I don't think I could cut back but I sure could try working faster! Go speed!
