Yes, because sometimes people won't listen to me and I just know they are gonna get something worng and I get really frustrated and just want to go crazy.

Yeah, I have been responding. Sometimes, I just try to act like I'm a nobody and don't say anything, but sometimes I just continue arguing, although it still gets me nowhere. I usually get really angry and stuff.

A more proactive way would be to try to talk them patiently and work out a something that we all agree on.

Lesson 7: Proactive Language

Scenario A:

If I was reactive, I would say that I will never be her friend anymore and will go start all spazzing.

If I was proactive, I would ask her if what she said was true and ask her to apologize to me.

Scenario B:

If I was reactive, I would start whining and complaining and maybe evne throwing a fit that would disrupt the situation even more.

If I was proactive, I would ask her to start listening to me and sort everything out fairly.

Lesson 6: Be Proactive

Situation #1:

Leilani was proactive because she didn't ramble on and on about not enough time and making up excuses. She told the truth and asked for a fair deal instead of getting all messed up. She thought before she acted

Situation #2:

Karl was reactive, because he didn't try to calm down his feelings and just went along complaining and whining according to his feelings. He didn't think before he act.

Situation #3:

Brittany was proactive, because she didn't just sit there and sulk about not being able to get a part in the school play, but found an alternative for herself and in turn, had fun. She thought before she acted.

After Part A:

1) I would get extremely mad and think that they are all bad and crazy...maybe even both!

2) I would have started going insane and probably go crazy...I might even swear!

After Part B:

1) I would be sad, resentful, and sympathetic. Obviously, I would help the kid

2) I would apologize for my previous rudeness and gladly help the kid int he ditch.

- Get a laptop in 2-3 years (about 15 bucks a month...that's about $360 in 2 years and $540 in 3...enough!)

- Finish Homework...about 2-4 hours a day should be decent!
